What is two factor authentication / extra verification / SMS text message codes?

We take the security of our IT systems very seriously so we use a two factor authentication system to make sure you really are the person you say you are when you login.

If you've been provided with an employee Society IT account (i.e. with an email address ending in @alzheimers.org.uk after entering your password, you will need to enter a six-digit code sent to your mobile phone to gain access.

On the screen titled 'SMS Authentication' click the 'Send code' button, wait a few seconds for your phone to receive the text message, then enter the unique six-digit code you've received and click 'Verify' to login. You can also setup Okta verify push on any smart phone, which removes the need to type in a six digit number.

How do I access Outlook / Arena / Yammer / CRS / Windows Virtual Desktop / ... ?

Most of the links you need will show in Okta after you sign in. Additional links can be found on Arena, on the main menu under launchpad and quick links.
